Below you will see some pictures of a kestrel and a barn owl, which are both at our shelter.
A young common kestrel

Day 1: In the top picture you see a young kestrel.
This bird was taken to our shelter and was very weak.

Day 2: the bird is recovering.

Day 5: The young kestrel (in this picture together with the manager of the bird shelter) will make it!
He still has to learn to hunt and take care for himself. Therefore it can't be released yet.
A young barn owl
In the pictures below you will see a barn owl. It was picked up in Oerle on a morning by our manager.

In the picture above you will see what the barn owl looked like, when he arrived at the shelter.

This is the same barn owl, but later on that day.

The bird is now 2 days in the shelter. He is doing better.

The barn owl on its back. He is now in the shelter for 5 days.

This picture is taken 4 weeks after his arrival, just before he will be taken to another shelter.
There he will learn to get used to nature again. This is a necessary process, that can't be done in the shelter in Eindhoven.
